Growing up in Havana, Cuba, means being surrounded by music. It's in the culture and was in my home. I pursued music throughout my education and formally became a teacher. During my study years, I mastered the traditional Cuban songbook, learning piano, percussion, and guitar. However, as I discovered rock music, I found my passion in live performance and started developing my career as a guitarist. As a result, I've become a touring and session player for various established rock, pop, reggae, and salsa bands. The limited resources of Cuba pushed me to be creative and resourceful. I developed an interest in producing and engineering, learning wherever I could, and eventually built my home studio, where I recorded several local and international artists. In 2014, I attended a "Mix With The Masters" seminar in France with the producer Jacquire King that inspired me to pursue a career as a producer/ engineer.
Although I will always love Cuba, it couldn't offer me the experiences my ambitions sought. So in 2015, I moved to the US to further expand my skills and opportunities. In 2016, I arrived in Los Angeles and started working for Simon Phillips at Phantom Recordings. I got a Grammy nomination as an engineer for my work on Simon's album "Protocol 4". The studio later became Infinitespin Records, operating under the ownership of producer Matt Linesch where I worked for about three years doing full analog tape tracking and mixing sessions with several successful producers and artists from LA and around the world..
Currently, I work at my studio "La Planta" in Los Angeles, where I produce, record, collaborate with artists and companies to create unique content. In addition, I work with production companies at live events, make music for TV, create social media and audiovisual content. I'm always looking to expand my catalog and work with people passionate about music.
